Hi, I'm Talia. I'm a fairly typical high schooler from Long Island, NY, who loves soccer, school, baking, and hanging out with friends and family. However, I live with unusually severe tree nut allergies. Life with allergies isn't easy, but I have worked hard over the last few years to shift my perspective. I have come to see that the tough things we face make us better people. My allergies and other medical conditions have made me grateful for the things I can do and determined to follow my passions in life. Recipe: Oatmeal Raisin Chocolate Chip Cookies
In one bowl, combined 1 cup softened butter with 1 1/2 cups brown sugar and 1/2 cup granulated sugar.
Next add in and combine 2 eggs and 1 tbsp vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, combine 2 cups flour, 1 1/2 cups oats, 1 tbsp cinnamon, 1 tsp salt, and 1/2 tsp baking soda and slowly add to the other mixture.
Before the mixtures are completely combined, fold in 1/2 cup chocolate chips and 1 1/2 cups raisins.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes at 350 degrees on a greased cookie sheet leaving about 2 inches between each cookie. *cookies should be slightly under baked, but not too gooey*
